7 things to do at home

Stunning yet simple wall art

Painting their little hands and feet makes the cutest art, perfect for hanging on the wall or gifting to family. You can even find print-out templates online to make things even easier. You’ll certainly thank yourself in years to come capturing the moments when they’re still so mini.

Card making

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, put a personal touch on the special occasion with handmade cards from your little one. Get some photos printed to add to the sentiment. Glitter, glue, pom poms, sequins, you name it, it will keep them entertained for hours!

‘Drive-in’ home cinema

Take family movie nights to the next level with this cute and cosy spin on the drive-in cinema concept. Simply buy an inflatable car-shaped bed (you can find them on Amazon) or even a paddling pool would suffice. Simply fill it with throws, cushions and make a popcorn snack pack – the hardest part will be choosing the film!

Build a fancy (or rustic) fort

Let’s face it, a den never gets old. Gather the throws, cushions and any even some fairy lights and let their imagination run wild. Plus, this will help keep the mess confined in one area, at least for a little while anyway!

Baking (messy play!)

Got some choccie left over from Valentine’s Day? Why not make sweet treats with your sweeties? Crispy cakes are always and winner and require little baking skills meaning even your toddlers could get involved in the edible messy play!

Woodland walk scavenger hunt

When you’re starting to get cabin-fever, get the waterproofs at the ready and head outdoors. Before you go, why not put together a woodland-themed scavenger hunt. Simply list things to find and tick them off as you explore outdoors.

Friendship bracelets

Let their creativity flow with bracelet making. Fun and therapeutic, even older kids will enjoy this. They can even make friendship bracelets perfect for gifting to their BFFs when their back at school. This also makes a cute addition during a girly sleepover.
